Check out the Nexpo (Nightmare Expo) videos page.

Welcome to my YouTube spotlight series. As an avid follower of about 50 channels, I’m going to praise some of my favorite content creators. This includes people who have subscriber totals ranging from the tens of thousands to millions. I like to follow channels that cover sports, horror, mystery, debate, wrestling, otters, and charismatic content creators who have a cheerful demeanor.

Who is Nexpo?

My name is Ryan and I am the creator of Nexpo, an analytical YouTube channel that focuses on horror, various immersive media, and gaming. I create analyses over various subjects such as creepy ARGs, obscure channels, disturbing Internet mysteries, and much, much more. If you’re into that kind of stuff, I’d love to have you on board!

Nexpo, Patreon

Nexpo, also known as Nightmare Expo, refers to himself as an internet detective. He creates analytical takes and retrospectives on anything that involves mystery and horror. His channel has six playlists that include internet investigations (74 videos), real world mysteries (37), web series deep dives (14), disturbing things from around the Internet (13), console conspiracies (seven) and gaming retrospectives (six).

Apparently Nexpo is also a boxer who is preparing to fight Dad

Rumor has it that the winner gets Jake Paul.

Why You Should Subscribe To Nexpo

There’s a reason that I refer to you all as supporters. You are all more than just subscribers and I truly appreciate the positivity, critique, and encouragement that you throw at me on a daily basis.

Nexpo, Patreon.

It wasn’t even five years ago when Nexpo started sniffling while he created a thank you video for what wasn’t yet 15,000 supporters.

Nexpo’s channel has blown up in popularity and for good reason. He’s just as humble with 2,500,000 supporters (2.5 million) as he was with 15,000 supporters. He is to the mystery and horror genre what Kenny Omega is to the independent wrestling scene. When Nexpo creates his best content you have to stretch that five-star rating scale to a seven. That’s because his worst content is still five stars out of five.

Some viewers think his content is too scary while others find it too hard to understand. It doesn’t scare me off and while I don’t understand all of it I enjoy how it makes me think. This channel is dark and super entertaining so I love it.

ReignBot, Nick Crowley, MrBallen, blameitonjorge, ScareTheater, Rob Gavagan, Mr. Nightmare, Chilling Scares, Barely Sociable and Slightly Sociable can all thank Nexpo along with old school Chills and Top15s for getting me interested enough to find similar content. Consider those spoilers because some of those creators are in future shout outs.

May I suggest that Bowser hire all of you to become his new Koopalings? I’m sure you could make Mario fall into a bottomless rabbit hole like I’m doing right now as I write this.

What I’d Like To See From Nexpo

The best thing that I could think of is adding more merchandise to his store. His store has eight items but I’ve seen channels with a fraction of his fan base sell a larger variety. How about a shirt with that red glowing moon that is used on various backgrounds?

What are The Walten Files? (5.9M Views, Published July 15, 2021)

The Walten Files is an animated analog horror series created by Martin Walls. The inspiration for creating this series came from Five Nights at Freddy’s. Porn may benefit from high definition (HD) but horror needs that video home system (VHS) look.

Below is a character named Bon. While Nexpo didn’t create this series, his channel brought a lot of attention to it. I gave some financial support to the creator with the purchase of a plush. Here you can see Bon is filling my seat while I fall down this rabbit hole.

My Favorite Videos

Disturbing Things from Around the Internet (Playlist)

The 13 volumes and counting of the “Disturbing Things from Around the Internet” series are the heart of the Nexpo video catalog. When Nexpo wants to cover a topic but not at regular video length, he’ll put five of them together to create another volume in this series.

These are perfect entry level videos for anyone who has never watched Nexpo or users with similar content. The stories aren’t too long nor are they as complicated as some of his deeper mysteries and alternate reality game (ARG) content.

If you enjoy that content, then get ready because you’re gonna binge down that Nexpo rabbit hole for a long time…

Google Translate’s Strange Repsonses

This video was created in 2017 so it’s one of his older pieces of content. Nexpo warns his viewers that it may not turn out as his best work because his voice is messed up from being sick. He then creates one of my favorite mystery videos in a library full of five star content.

Nexpo tells his fans that he can use Google Translate to input random strings of text that would translate into private email conversations, dating profiles and Facebook links. He claims that there is a way to chat with an artificial intelligence (AI). This goes into a discussion about the data theory, predefined theory, reverse speech theory, and Disqus theory.

Cult in a Dead MMO

When a defunct mid-90’s video game becomes caught in a myriad of Internet conspiracies, online users dig in to investigate. Although many unearthed some interesting oddities, one player would make a grim discovery far beyond anything they ever expected.

Nexpo, video description

MMO – A massively multiplayer online game is an online video game with a large numbers of players, often hundreds or thousands, on the same server. MMOs usually feature a huge, persistent open world, although there are games that differ.

Wikipedia

A game from 1994 was still online as of the video creation date (December 2019). Nexpo wants to know why a game that was mostly abandoned 20 years ago was still having its server costs paid to stay online. He investigates the conspiracy about a Satanic cult using it. Viewers learn about how a patent troll makes $200,000 yearly off court proceedings from Worlds Inc.

How To Support Nexpo

You can support him through the Twitter that’s below, join more than 1,200 supporters who donate to him through Patreon, Facebook, Instagram, or visit his store. The store has clothing and posters. He has a website that has a couple rarely used channels called Nexpo: After Hours and Nexxy.

Joining Patreon has its perks. Nexpo has an active account where he offers six donation tiers from $3 to $25. His benefits can include access to his discord server, shout outs, polls, early access to videos, access to script files, and sneak peaks of his works in progress. Sometimes he replies to the supporters on his posts.

Nexpo is on Reddit but he closed his subreddit a couple years ago because user posts were becoming too graphic and controversial.
